Bill Ding and the Skyscrapers has been slowly forming from 2010… but in January 2014 we committed to the name and started to get the show rolling. Since then the flood gates have opened and we’re performing all over the UK, from weddings to festivals and beyond.
BDS is collective of professional musicians mostly based in the South West UK. All of our members are involved in other musical ventures and regularly play with some of the UK biggest names (Joss Stone, Kelis, Sandi Thom to name a few).
The core band are the following people (occasionally subject to change due to commitments)
We loved having Bill Ding & the Skyscrapers play at our wedding reception. They set a brilliant tone for the evening and got the dance-floor full from the first song, there was a great buzz. We got them to do a slow version of Clean Bandit's 'Rather Be' for our first dance and it was exactly what we were hoping for. Everyone we have spoken to has made a real point of saying how fantastic the band were. We can't recommend them highly enough.

Bill Ding and the Skyscrapers were absolutely fantastic as a function band at our wedding. The music really made the evening and kept the party going. Booking the band was as hassle free as we could have possibly imagined and so were all subsequent arrangements. We arranged for the band to set up while the reception room was transformed for the evening and they were exceedingly prompt with everything running right on time! The band kicked off with our first dance: Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, and the party started from there. The combination of brilliant musicians and fantastic performers meant that there were always people on the dance floor; even the most unlikely of guests were up dancing. We would most definitely recommend Bill Ding and the Skyscrapers to anyone planning a wedding or anything that needs music! All we can say is Thank You!
All the best, Ed and Toni (2015)
As soon as I heard Bill Ding and The Skyscrapers in summer 2014, I knew that I wanted to book them for our staff Awards Night in 2015. After the ceremony, the band played a fantastic set of over 2 hours, with a great mix of covers that hit the target of getting people up and keeping them on the dance floor from start to finish.
